Record High Returns for Trust Members
For 15 consecutive years, the New Hampshire Hospitality Compensation Trust (NHHCT) has returned substantial rewards to its Members; however this year exceeds all previous dividend returns. The spring of 2012 brings incredible news for Trust Members…dividends of more than $650,000, a 43.6% return!
This brings the total dollars returned to Members to more than $6 million, representing greater than 23% of total premium contributions to the Trust since it was created in 1994.
The Chair of the NHHCT Board of Trustees, Tor Brunvand, (owner of the Silver Fox Inn at Waterville Valley) announced Board approval of the return of contributions after last month’s meeting with the Trust’s Board. Mr. Brunvand announced, “It is a pleasure to once again reward Trust Members for providing and maintaining safe work environments for their employees.”
The New Hampshire Hospitality Compensation Trust is an exclusive NHLRA Member benefit, which consists of hospitality businesses who together self insure workers’ compensation protection for their employees. Criteria for participation include training and maintaining safe practices in the workplace along with meeting underwriting requirements. The program allows small employers to enjoy the benefits and privileges of self-insurance by joining together. At the close of each fund year when claims related and administrative costs are paid, the Trust returns the remaining fund dollars to its Members based on their individual loss experience and contributions.
