Governmental Affairs

NHLRA retains a full-time lobbyist in Henry Veilleux of Sheehan Phinney Capitol Group, (603) 228-2370. Henry works closely with the State Legislature, the Governor's office and all branches of Government to promote and protect the lodging and restaurant industry. For MEMBERS ONLY, Henry provides weekly legislative updates on our website and via email while the Legislature is in session.

Legal Services

All NHLRA Members are allowed up to a thirty (30) minute phone call per unique incident, issue or matter, assuming no professional conflicts with  Vrountas, Ayer & Chandler, P.C., If at that time a Member determines he/she would like to utilize the services of VAC, the member will receive a discounted new client rate just for NHLRA members of $195-250 an hour. 

New Hampshire Sustainable Lodging & Restaurant Program

Sustainable Lodging & Restaurant certified properies are recognized as leaders in our industry for their efforts to find new ways to reduce, re-use and recycle in the day to day running of their businesses. As an added bonus these properties 'Seeing green by going green' - they are not only reducing their carbon footprint, but saving money by doing so. The certification process is a FREE service for NHLRA Members only.

NH Hospitality Compensation Trust

The NHHCT is a self-insured workers' compensation Trust available to NHLRA Members only. Premiums are invested to pay claims and administrative costs; the remaining funds are returned to our Members in the form of a dividend based on performance. Think of it as a long term investment; not just an insurance cost! The Trust is governed by Members, serviced locally, and regulated by the NH Department of Labor.
